HIFI manages private keys for security and regulatory compliance. This enables features like account recovery and compliance monitoring while users maintain control over their funds through the API.

Custodial wallets are cryptocurrency wallets where HIFI manages the private keys on behalf of users. This means:

• HIFI controls the keys for security and regulatory compliance

• Users maintain control over their funds through the API

• Enables features like account recovery and compliance monitoring

• Multi-chain support - wallets are automatically provisioned on Polygon, Ethereum, Solana, Base, and other supported networks

• Multi-currency - can hold multiple stablecoins (USDC, USDT) simultaneously

Wallets are automatically created when a user is created—no separate setup required.

Transaction Approvals

HIFI offers optional approval workflows for transfers, bridging, and offramps. Transactions can be created in a pending state and require admin approval before execution—supporting compliance and multi-party authorization.

Compliance Controls

• KYC/KYB verification required before users can access fiat rails

• Prohibited and high-risk industries are blocked or require Enhanced Due Diligence

• Strict compliance and risk management policies
