How User Wallets Work
Last updated: February 2, 2026
A Wallet is a cryptocurrency account that holds and moves digital assets on the HIFI platform. Every wallet belongs to a user and can hold balances in supported stablecoins across multiple blockchain networks.
Here's how user wallets work in HIFI:
Automatic Provisioning
Wallets are automatically created when a user is created—no separate setup required. Each user receives wallet addresses on Polygon and Ethereum by default. Other chains (Solana, Base) can be added later.
Wallet Properties
PropertyDescription | |
Custodial | HIFI manages private keys for security and compliance |
Multi-Chain | Unique address on each supported blockchain |
Multi-Currency | Can hold USDC and USDT simultaneously |
Immediately Active | Ready to send/receive crypto without additional setup |
Key Operations
Check balance – Check balance by chain and currency
Receive funds – From other HIFI users, external wallets, or fiat onramps
Send funds – Transfer to HIFI users, external wallets, or offramp to fiat
Track deposits – Monitor incoming blockchain deposits
Wallet addresses never change and can be shared for receiving cryptocurrency.
